We proudly remember the promise of 1950 - a promise of freedom, equality, and dignity for every Indian under the protection of our Constitution. This promise remains our compass. For India to fulfil its destiny as the world's largest democracy and a global leader in progress, we must confront and overcome the barriers that still weaken our people and institutions.

Correcting policy imbalances is the fulfilment of our constitutional promise of fairness, justice and fraternity.

• Individuals under Threat When Christians - or anyone - are targeted for their faith, it shakes the foundations of trust in society and also a loss to India's collective strength, creativity, and workforce.
• Institutions under Pressure Christian schools, hospitals, and service organizations have stood for decades as beacons of learning, healing, and hope. When policy changes or restrictions weaken these institutions, the entire society loses. Protecting these institutions strengthens India's social fabric and drives inclusive development.
• Policies and Equal Opportunity
  • Our Constitution envisioned equality for all. Scheduled Caste Status unlocks access to education, jobs, and dignity, yet Christians from Dalit backgrounds remain excluded.
  • Delist Christian tribals from Scheduled Tribe status are creating fear and division in many states.

The scale of these challenges is deeply concerning. In 2024 alone, human rights organizations documented over 900 incidents where Christians faced harassment or attacks in their homes, churches, and institutions—disrupting their fundamental right to worship and fellowship peacefully.

When Christians, or any other Individual / community are free to contribute fully - through schools, hospitals, innovation, and service - India as a whole grows stronger. Ending these challenges is not just about justice for one community; it is about unlocking the full energy of 1.3 billion Indians and fulfilling the vision of 1950: A democratic, united, and prosperous nation like no other globally

We call upon policymakers, leaders, and citizens of goodwill to:

• Stand for human dignity and freedom of conscience, as enshrined in Articles 25–30
• Strengthen institutions that uplift millions through education, healthcare, and service
• Fulfil the constitutional dream of equality for Dalit Christians
